Baptisia Indigo Spires 1 gal

Baptisia 'Indigo Spires' is a standout perennial that impressed us with its compact, densely branched habit and exceptional flower production. Unlike leggy Baptisia varieties, this cultivar forms a fully rounded clump with glaucous green foliage extending down the stems, minimizing bare wood at the base. In early summer, 12–15" spikes of deep violet-purple flowers with yellow keels emerge all around the plant, not just at the top, creating a dramatic display. Secondary spikes extend blooms into midsummer. This low-maintenance perennial works beautifully as a shrub substitute, thriving for decades with minimal care. Use it in meadow plantings, as a border backdrop, or as a specimen. Once established, Baptisia is extremely long-lived and requires little attention to flourish year after year.
