Red Barrenwort Epimedium rubrum qt

Epimedium rubrum, commonly known as red barrenwort, is a compact perennial ground cover perfect for shady woodland gardens. This rhizomatous clump-former grows 8–12" tall and produces delicate red flowers with pale yellow petals in spring, held above attractive compound foliage. Heart-shaped leaflets emerge with a red tinge, mature to medium green, and shift to reddish tones in fall. Ideal for edging borders or filling shaded areas where other plants struggle.
